Question regarding bidding/buying process - Help

My first purchase through Gunbroker. What should I expect to pay a local FFL to process my incoming purchase? Is there a range? Who should I solicit that typically charges the least for their services?

Secondly, I want to bid on a rifle and scope offered by the same seller, however which appear in two separate listings (no reserves). In exchanging emails with the seller, I learned that he would accept a lesser price for the two item package than is posted with their start bids. Will the process allow me to bid on the rifle with a combined bid price stipulating inclusion of the scope (with its item number). My understanding is that a bidder cannot enter an offer less than the intial listed price on a non-reserve auction item. As a buyer, I want to stay within the Gunbroker buying process to maintain the securtiy/integrity of the process. What do I need to do? This rookie would appreciate your response.

Expect to pay $10-50; some dealers charge a percentage. There is no rule. Check the Gunbroker list of Transfer dealers to find one in your area; you can also get a list from the Gun List. I use a "vest pocket" FFL who makes a little money on the side doing favors for folks; all of the store-front dealers in my area refused to accept guns for me at any price. Phone or visit them to be sure that they are still in business, are willing to handle your transaction, and to determine their current fee. Be sure that you do this BEFORE you bid for any firearm; failure to complete a transaction because you couldn't find a local dealer is no excuse.

Gunbroker has no provision on their auction site for combining auctions. They will get paid by the seller based on the selling price of each item. However, there is nothing to prevent you from negotiating some deal with the seller before you bid, such as "If I win both of your items, will you pay the shipping charges?"
