I am happy with this product but am disappointed in their customer service. I e-mailed a week ago with no answer. My question is how close I can mount the unit to carpet. I am installing one in an additional safe and have a great place to mount it but it will be quite close to the carpet. This safe has carpet as opposed to upholstery type cloth. Any ideas?

    Mine is within 1/2" & has been so for 5yrs with no problems

    Take and cut some PVC, about 4-6" long.and about a 1 1/2" diameter, Place on the floor of the safe, and put the tube on that... It will keep it off the carpet.. Hope thats what your talking about?
