could anyone recommend a long term storage grease for blued guns? i'm in a damp area and would prefer a grease as apposed to oil that would have to be done every so often. something vasoline like, anybody know if that would work? thanks for your help, jag

Would it be feasible to clean and oil a handgun and then seal it using a vacuum sealer and protect the gun?

I am thinking of rust protection and protection from rubbing against other guns in a closed container.

I am looking at storing some guns long term (2+years) for a friend. I have some ideas, and have read a little about it, but was wondering what kind of suggestions you guys might have, Thanks, Dan

in my opinion you might want to try wipe the gun down with a silicon rag then store in a bag such as a bianchi blue bag. makes it so much easier if you decide to shoot it some time.

Cosmoline has worked well for a few score years. Any mil-spec perservative, long storage, should suffice.

Hey Folks! Breakfree also makes a product "Collector"
a "LONG TERM STORAGE PROTECTOR" by the label. Haven't
tested as yet, I'll just let you know! Will try soon!
