Hey I just purchased a Glock 38, hadnt had the chance to have any fun with it yet due to work and other micellaneous things. But I have had the chance to break it down and put him back together. I noticed that after I took it apart, once I put it back together, when I cock my slide back(say for instance with an empty magazine in it) and the slide locks, my barrel is loose. like I can move it around with my finger. I dont remember it doing that when I first purchased it. If anybody can hel me or explain why my glock is doing this please reply ASAP. Besides the loose barrel, everything else works fine. I have even put live ammo in it and loded it for fire, and it works fine but Im not happy with the play and unaware if its normal. Thanks!!

You could do this before you took it apart, you just didn't notice it [:D]

That's normal, nothing is wrong with your gun. Shoot and enjoy !

Hello on most pistols except a straight blow back action there is a way to lock and unlock the barrel with the slide closed the barrel is locked this allows for a higher pressure load and also less felt recoil however as the pressure goes down the barrel must unlock so it can let the slide move back and eject empty shell and reload new cartridge. Most do this by the back of barrel tipping down to clear the slide . If you look at a 1911 the link and pin pull the barrel down other designes use a cam surface. The bullet is out of the barrel before it starts to unlock."PRAISE THE HARD-BALL GUN"

NORMAL. It occurs that you should likely become more familiar with your weapon for overall safety's sake.
