I have a stevens 22 caliber rifle that has Automatic written on the bolt side. It is tube fed and the tube is under the barrel. Model 270 or 370 on it. Any ideas about when it was made or how old it is is appreciated.

I have a .410 with H.S.B. & Co. stamped on the side. Under that is a Rooster with "RUSO" stamped inside it and Chicago stamped to the side. Serial # is 13---. It was bought for my Dad in 1924/25. It is well used as he had five brothers and two sons. I would like to know who made it and some manufacturer history, and maybe a value

Could it possibly be a model 87?
I don't find any references to the model numbers you've given in either the Stevens or Savage/Stevens listings.
Do a net search on the Stevens Model 87 and let us know if it looks like your rifle.
