Weaver tip off scope mounts

I am changing scopes on a .22 and removed a 3/4" Weaver scope in a tip-off mount. The mount wraps almost all the way around the scope. How do I remove the scope from the mount? Thanks!

Is it an old B6 model?
If so, I took off mine by removing the eye piece & turrets. Don't know if that's the only way, it's been a while.

Is there a hook in the question ? Remove the 2 ring screws on each mount then move the top rings axially until they disconnect from the mount. Scope can then be lifted off the mounts.

This mount does not use split rings. It literally wraps around the scope tube, enclosing the turrets so it cannot be slid out.

The scope is a C4, and it appeared that removing turrets and ocular was the only way, but I wanted a little confirmation before having a go. Thanks dfletcher for the answer, and tlen for the effort!

weaver put those mounts on before putting turrets and eye peice on,so removale is like you said, becarefull of the crosshairs, kind of fragile from age.

Thanks, maybe I will just leave it in place, I probably will not use it again.
