I have a 410 bore double barrel shotgun in great condition. On the left side of the receiver is ingraved Springfield and under that is J. Stevens Arms Company, Chico-pee Falls, Mass USA. Can anyone give me information on the age and value of this gun?

Possibly a Model 311. References note "Originally produced as a "Springfield" gun, this model became part of the Stevens line in 1948 when the Springfield brand was discontinued. Made 1931-89." Sounds like yours may have been made 1931-1948. Values listed run from about $200-400, depending on condition, and whether pre WW II or post WW II. FWIW, 410s usually bring a bit more than others. Hopefully, someone else can give you more info.

The stevens 311 410's are doing around 450 and higher here on GB. A good piece to put away. A US made 410 SXS is always a good saver.
