Martel pump 22 production years

The Martel pump 22 appears to be a private label Marlin except there is no corresponding Marlin produced pump 22. Is it possible that Marlin sold tooling and it was actually manufactured by someone else (National Fire Arms Co)? It appears to be a non-take down Model 25 frame but with Model 29 features such as s-l-lr capabilities. The Marlin historian has indicated that the National Fire Arms Company was a reseller of early Marlin Pumps. Any ideas? How about year(s) manufactured?

I posted the names of Marlin brand type rifle sellers on this site, look the post up using name. I have a marked The National Fire Arms Co. rifle , it is not marked Model 18 but it is thst Model. I've been looking for an extractor for about six months with no luck, if you run across one drop a note. I have read posts on some Marlin sites that stated that some Marlins were not marked.

    Emmett,
I read your post. It was most enlightening. I knew the H & D Folsom conection but not the others. Please keep me in mind if you see other info on the Martel/Marlin. I'm trying to determine if the Martel was made to order for a particular "hardware store" as many guns were at that time. As for your extractor, check with "pact", short for pump action, he has parts and does good work. My e-mail is deldillco@yahoo.com if you need me to get you two together.
