Very large caliber rifle info??

Hi. I'm writing a military novel based on true events. However, I am looking for information on a large caliber rifle like the russian anti-tank rifles...I saw one online years ago that was something like twelve feet long and had skis on it. I am looking for actual guns that exist or did exist at one time. One-offs, wildcats or prototypes would be good too. Any info/specs on such weapons would be appreciated.

I am new, this is my first topic. I'm not on the internet usually. I check email every so often at a friend's house because I live in Alaska and I am way out away from the phone lines often so I can't get online too often.

You might want to get with Tony Williams. His website http://www.quarry.nildram.co.uk/ has a large amount of information on the cartridges used, with photo's, and a small amount of information on the weapons themselves (but hey, at least you would get the correct name/designation to start your search with).

I shot a 20 MM LAHTI and still have the AP bullet from it that we dug out of the sandstone back stop 600 yards down range. It was wheel mounted and clip fed.

It sure did bark when the trigger was pulled, the muzzle blast was huge.
