I have a Kimber Compact CDP II and would like a good holster for conceal carry. I'm not sure what brand but thought this would be a good place to get a few starting points. Any help is appreciated.

Can you be more specific? There are many types of concealment holsters - on the hip strong side or cross-draw, small of the back, in the pants, paddle, shoulder holster, clip-on, Pager Pal, etc.

How exactly do you want to conceal it?

    Try this place:

    http://www.unclemikes.com/

Be sure to use the holster wizard in the right hand corner of the page. If you find what you're looking for there, log back on to Gunbroker and do a search for it there. You may find a better price. Hope this helps.[:)]

Like Spider7115 said, we need to know more information on how you want to wear it.

After deciding that, I would look at some some quality leather holsters made by a reputible maker such as Bianchi, Galico, etc. You don't want to skimp on the holster, and like everything else, you get what you pay for.

I am really impressed with this holster.

    Here's a good C&P from Blackwater.

The best part in my opinion is returning the firearm to holster without any * or straps impeding this action to be done with one hand.

I saved a bunch of money by switching to GALCO [:D]

I haven't really thought about all the different positions and styles but I would have to go with a holster on the hip strong side. Thanks for all the help so far guys. I really appreciate it.

I put my Para CCW in a Galco Fletch, and for a larger pistol, I hardly know it's there. It's comfortable and doesn't seem to sag or 'get heavy' thru the day. The only thing better is my KelTec in a pocket holster as far as light and small.

To be honest with you man. There are all of these fancy holsters out there, but I have found the simple "in the pants holster" to be the most practicle. Uncle Mikes makes them and they are usually 10 dollars or less. They are comfortable, cheap and blend in with your cloths. You could go for all of these fancy holsters, or for day to day carry, just go with the in the pants holster

The best and most comfortable carry holsters I own are made by Ted Blocker.(TedBlocker.com) They are his LFI RIG IWB Concealment Holsters. I have one for my Kimber Stainless Covert, Glock 27, HK USP Compact, and Browning BDM. I have a belt holster by Mitch Rosen that I like also, but after I tried the above, I looked no further. The belt has velcro sewn into the inside, and the holster and mag holder have the other half of the velcro sewn into it. This allows you to position the gun and mag holder at an angle that suits you. It keeps everything very secure, and I get a comfortable draw and return. Very well made too.
