Can 44 Mag dies be used to reload 444 Marlin?

Is it possible to back the 44 Mag dies out to load 444 Marlin?

    I tried this once - I have a 44 mag Contender bbl and a 375 JDJ bbl. The JDJ uses 444 Marlin necked down to 375 diameter, tried it out of curiosity. If I remember correctly, you can't full length resize the 444 case in 44 mag dies but you could neck size enough to hold a .429 diameter bullet. For $24.00 I'd by a new set specifically for the 444.

    I just called a friend who's a 444 Marlin nut!
    He's got three of them ... and is looking for
    another! He agrees with what dfletcher said.
