Ok as indecated I have a problem withe ejector on my 1911. The thing is loose, i can lift up on it and it moves. I have looked everyware for informaiton about this and have even taken it to the gun shop that I go to but to no avail. Here is where I turn to next.

The man's middle finger is next to the part in question. What should I do?

    can't see the pics

    although it is undesirable a little looseness will not hurt, but i myself would not accept it {Springfield is bad for this}

    the ejector is pinned in, you can tap out the pin, and use thread lock on the tits and pin

    knightrider,

    I hate to waste one of your responses with this but I think you need to use a host site for your photographs such as Hunt101, Photobucket or some such website. It appears that your photos are still on your 'C' drive of your computer.

    Either try to use a host site or e-mail your photos to me and I'll post them for you. Check your e-mail.

    Best.

    Hello The Ejector has 2 feet that go into 2 holes in the top of your frame one leg is longer .There is a cross pin that is very small about the diamenter of a paper clip with this removed the ejector will lift straight up . When installing a new ejector I use a drill of the correct size and use the frame hole as a guide to drill into this longer leg .It will just leave a half moon dent in one side of the leg. now tap pin in flush to the frame /slide groove and you are ready to go . I have one pistol with 4 Different slides that needs to either have no frame mounted ejector 22ACE not service ace, 9MM ,38special, 38super and 45ACP each cariber should use the ejector for that cartridge. You don't even need the cross pin as once the ejector is installed on the frame and the slide mounted the ejector is held captive by the slide If you are having ejection problems it is NOT because the ejector is slightly loose but rather the extractor is too tight or loose or you have the wrong ejector or the trouble is in your loads If you are useing a BUFFER take it out and match the recoil spring to your loads.
