243 Winchester model 88

Can anyone tell me what my rifle is worth? I bought it at a Gibson store in the late 60's. It is in excellent condition. I have attached a picture of it in the original case that I have kept it in over the years.

Value is dependant upon collector interest and condition. You need to give us an idea of condition expressed as a % of 100% (new in box condition is 100%. For both wood and metal.

Picture of gun looks good. You shouldn't have a hard time getting $650.00 to $700.00 for it.

You will be hard pressed to find one in better condition for the age. Virtually no scratches. Metal in excellent condition.

The 88 are highly collectable, and although yours is post 64, in the condition you describe it could go for more. Saw a well used one go for 650.00 locally not too long ago.

for carbine model, 19 " round barrel, add 25% more for 243 caliber, if regular 88 rifle 22 " round barrel add 15 % for 243 caliber,rifle was introduced in 1955, and discontinued in 1973 with about 28,000 sold, you have a great rifle, good luck
