More of my garage sale finds Winchester shotguns

Today I opened a couple of boxes containing Winchester Super X shotguns. One is a Skeet gun, the other identical except a Trap gun. Neither of these guns has ever been put together nor do I intend to myself. I find very little information about the Super X Model 1 guns, but in the "Blue Book", there are several different grade listings. What is confusing is both of these guns have scroll engraving and the only listing for that is a Custom gun. Wood on both guns is superb. Have attached photos to help in identifying.

    If memory serves me correctly the scroll reciever came towards the end of the SX 1 production. I believe that there are 3 versions of the non custom SX1 guns. The first is a non engraved reciever with a blued trigger, a standard non engraved receiver with a gold trigger then the model that you have. These later versions are more desirable since they have the best triggers. If you decide to sell them they will bring good $$ since they are NIB. Very nice guns!!

    These are Garage Sale finds ! The garage sales I've been to only sell junk.

    According to my resorces these are the Super X Model 1 Custom Competition that were available from the Custom Shop in the two models you have there, Trap and Skeet. Introduced in 1987. As they are new in Box your looking at a value in excess of $1500.00 each. I tried to check for comp's but I could not find any others for sale.

    Yard sale buy? Is it OK if I ask what you gave for them?
