Information On S&W Magazine Sought

A feller keeps emailing me and says it is mis-identified. Says it is for a "TSW Pre-rail," whatever that is.

    "TSW" = Team Smith & Wesson, I think? This was a name S & W used on some of their limited edition guns. That supposedly were made on a semi-custom basis. And were sold at a premium because of this.

    As far as I know they took standard magazines. The earlier production guns might not have been made with a integral rail on the frame. It wouldn't have made any difference what magazine. They worked with?

    TSW does mean Team Smith and Wesson, but I have no knowledge about that magazine. Why not ask the guy who is e-mailing you? I'm curious about what he's referring to and what he's seeing on the magazine that is causing him to make whatever identification he's making.

    I owned a 3913 TSW in the past. It was my understanding TSW stood for Tactical Smith and Wesson. Mine was similar to the one in this auction, but it did not have a rail.

    David, that's just a standard 3913/14 mag. I've got six of them and had them long before the TSW came out.

    That's a mag supplied for any of S&W's M39 based compact pistols - including their so-called Tactical Smith & Wesson series guns.

    There is/was another S&W mag for the 3913 tsw that had a flat base magazine pad, maybe thats what he's talking about, and if I remember right possibly an 8 rd one also for this compact pistol.
