kimber 1911/22 mag question

Is there a difference between the mags for a dedicated Kimber 1911/22 and a conversion kit mag? I recently bought a 1911/22 and it came with a mag and then purchased another Kimber mag for a 1911 22 and it didn't fit(won't go in far enough). Thanks.

Todd

edit: It is a polymer mag and is very close and might need some fitting, just checking though.

I might be wrong on this? But I thought that the Kimber conversion units were rebranded Cieners. This was for the steel frame Kimbers.

So many of the current 1911/22's are made in Europe, by GSG and other makers. It's hard to keep them straight? Check it for the country of origin markings. If it's marked Germany or Italy. Not likely the mags will be the same as the ones used in the Ciener conversion.

My conversion came with a metal mag. Called Kimber about using the new {then} plastic and was told they might work. Got two in a deal and they work fine [;)]
