I have a magazine that looks exactly like a a Walther OSP but it is in Long Rifle. I can only find a reference to these in short.

Maybe it's for a GSP? Benelli also makes a 22 LR pistol, with a mag in front of the trigger guard. A number of other European companies, have also made similar models.

Photo of a GSP model in 22 LR, with mag. From the net.

As mentioned above, Walther GSP is in .22LR and is nearly identical to the .22 short OSP.

Seems highly likely that this is what your magazine is for. GSP is a lot more common now (OSP has been discontinued), and many of the Olympic .22 shooters are using it.

You didn't ask, but FWIW, GSP mags run around $75 each.

Thanks, I only found the 22 short version. Trying to identify odd magazines makes my eyes cross after a while.

Well I got the definitive answer. Beantown you are correct it is a GSP. The confusing part is that the external appearance is exactly like a OSP. I found a Walther repair guy online and called him and he said that early GSP floor plates were like the OSP but the design changed in 1978 that is why I couldn't find the photo I was looking for. Thanks Again. Oh, he bought it as well.
