Could someone tell me what the difference is between the old Redfield Model 70 vs the Model 80? It appears to me it has something to do with the knobs used to adjust the windage and elevation. Which one is considered to be the better of the 2 as far as ease of use? Thank You.

    Maybe they are like Lyman knobs. Target knobs work with your fingers, hunter ones need a coin or a screwdriver to change. They are also shorter and radius to cut down on snagging.

    No, knobs pretty similar. Difference is that #80 has a quick-release elevation/windage slide; press a button on one end, grab the top of the slide and yank it off.

    #70, you have to unscrew the eletation knob the whole way to remove the slide.
