I need to know the model number for a J. Stevens arms & tool co. single barrel 12 ga. shotgun.
Pat/D Dec. 11,1900. Has an internal spur hammer, and the top snap lever is held on with a screw from the top. I need the lever, but do not know enough to correctly I.D. the gun, when looking for parts.

Thanks,

Phil

There are four possibilities that match your description. They are:
Model 140 made from 1905 to 1915, Model Model 180 made from 1900 to 1917, Model 195 made from 1905 to 1910and the Model 375 made from 1910 to 1917. All are hammerless guns The patent was Number 663,604 for an ejector and was issued to a Edward H. Elder.
Almost all of the break open levers were held in place by a top screw.
