Gents, I'd like the experts thoughts on the sig sauer 556R. Seems like there were some issues early in it's evolution with FTE or FTF. Curious if those have been ironed out with it's recent offering. I'm looking at one that has the date of Aug 11 2012 on box, it's "born on" date so to speak. I've got a couple SKS, and an AMD AK, and I really want this tactical model to be top shelf, allowing use of 7.62x39 in multiple weapons. Also thoughts on it's accuracy, I appreciate your time and thoughts and thank GB for thus forum. Talk to me Pro's...

If it's not "ironed out" just throw more money at it until it is.

I thought it's kind a heavy for a small package.
