Winchester 62A

I was given a rifle from my Father which actually belonged to my Grandfather. It is a model 62A 22S L or L R and am trying to find out some history, it has the single screw on the left side and has a serial number starting 259000 range with matching serial numbers. Not interested in selling, just would like to know about the weapon, thanks

    I have a Winchester 62a that i have had for a while. I was thinking of trading it in on something else. I have only shot it once. And just don't have a need for it.I would like to get a year on when it was made and what it might be worth. It is a 62A s,l or lr. The serial number is 247xxx. It is in ecelent condition. Any info will help...Thanks

    I have an old Winchester 62A and would like to know it's history and value. It works fine except the blueing is worn some what. Thanks algos83 The serial # is 159494 and it has a 23" barrel and shoots 22 S.L.LR. and the forearm is grooved. sorry unable to send picture.

    Recently acquired a Winchester 62A. Ser. # 269117. Anyone tell me the year of manuf.? I think about 1948 just from comparing outer Serial numbers in for sale guns... Also it has been used , not trashed, but not a show gun either. ANy guesses on approx. value.

    I'v been looking at a 62A, I'm thinking it must be a gallery gun, but the serial #s on the barrell don't match the receiver, but I'm thinking these had parts switched often, the barrell has the chain loop, I'd say it's about 50%+ gun. Any ideas on value???? Also what does a roll reciever mean or look like notrediyet Thanks

    I have a Winchester model 62a with the smooth short pump. It has what looks like an aftermarket rear peep sight. the serial number is 722XX, a five digit serial number. The stamp says it shoots 22 short, long and long rifle. Anyone out there familiar with these or what their value might be? Thanks in advance.

    This seems the best place to ask a question I've been pondering for quite some time about the age and value of a Winchester Model 62A that was my Grandfather's. It's all stainless with a very light tan stock, which also has a carved design. Serial # is 386XXX. Definitely a Winchester, not a Taurus or Rossi. Any Help? Thanks.

    Have a winchester 62A that appears to be refinished,but also the trigger assembly has gaps and will not fit correctly. the rifle will not feed from the magazine.
    Question: Who can correct this problem and restore the rifle to working condition? Thanks

    A friend inhareted a 62A Winchester .22 I would like to know somthing about it like why the A and when it was interduced and aproximate value in an almost excellent condition w/ no alterations Thanks

    Any "good" gunsmith should be able to get your 62A up and running. It might be something as simple as a shell stop. It could be that the trigger assembly is from another gun or has been buggered up by someone causing it to not fit.

    Serial No.s match. It looks like the trigger assembly has been bent.
