Remington 511 Scoremaster dom

It has c B 6 on the barrel. B indicates 1933 or 1955.

I'm inclined to think '33 is correct but is there any way to tell for sure?
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

    According to the BB. The 511's were manufactured between 1939 & 1962.

    The grooves in the receiver for attaching a scope were introduced on the 511 series in the early 1950's. If the rifle has the grooves it will be from 1955.

    When I looked again, that's what my book says, too. Apparently I was looking at the wrong model the first time.
