Cook Out is right beside UNCW here in Wilmington and is open from 10:30 am till 3:30 am. The food, dog burgers shakes is cheap and very good. The BLT is full of crispy bacon fresh tomatoes lettuce mayo on a burger bun and is delicious for just$1.61. The dogs and burgers are just as good. Perfect for a starving college student. These guys are a step above all other fast food in my humble yet infallible opinion.

I've eaten at a couple of places near KSU where the food/service were acceptable to good, but the price was outrageous. Meanwhile across town someone comparable or better was 1/3-1/2 less on price. Junc City near Ft. Riley is just as bad.
When I was at Ft. Hood there was a place in Killeen owned by a retired SgtM called 39cent Burger. He opened it becaue he was tired of seeing GIs get bent over. You could get a huge burger, humongous bag of fries and large drink for 1/2 the price of McD's.
THAT IS CHEAP.. I like my own homemade but I like our Sonic's BLT and they are like 2.59?
Had no idea Sonic Drive-In made BLTs, so I gave them to call to make sure they did. Yep they do, but they're $2.79 here, still a good price
There is a 'cookout' in the next town over (Athens) , started out really good : Then went quickly down hill : Last time I was there (last year) it was a disaster to say the best ::: Vowed to Never go back !
But I do love me some BLT (add onions & pickles) !!!! YUM !
Thanks !!!
I Grew Old Too Fast (And Smart Too damn Slow !!!) !!! :?
