I was contacted by a 2nd or 3rd cousin who gave me the phone number of my father's, late brother's wife, my aunt.
I called her and she will get back to me, hopefully with personal info on my father.
I was contacted by a nephew I did not know I had. He provided me with a copy of the family tree.
The family tree has a picture of my half brother I have never met.
I was thrilled to get the family tree that goes back to the late 1800's.
Sadly, now I have a list of names of people I have never heard of and that are mostly dead.
It seems kind of a let down. Interestingly, I have a picture of a great, great, great, great grandmother.
That is about all I have gotten. Still waiting to find out why my father was called Snooky?

I once tried to have them trace me.

They sent back my dna sample with a note:

"We need all 46 chromosomes to trace you, send the rest please"

Sounds like you've got a lot of new contacts to make. Nice!
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Similar experience, after my great grandfather was killed in a plane crash over the Potomac river, my great grandmother took her two daughters (my grandmother being one) and son to Wisconsin to live with her Sister and her husband. My great Uncle's son's wife sent me pictures of my grandmother as a child on their farm!
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!
