Cory Booker promises to fight NRA

tr foxtr fox Member Posts: 13,856
Presidential hopeful Cory Booker (D-NJ) promises to bring a fight like they have never seen to the NRA, if elected. This threat is strange. The NRA haters here offer thousands and thousands of words trying to convince us the NRA is worthless in fighting for our gun rights. But anti-gun rights Cory Booker, and many Democrats, want to fight the NRA apparently because they feel the NRA is doing too GOOD A JOB helping protect gun rights. So, if the local NRA haters here are correct in their disparaging claims against the NRA, shouldn't that make them automatically allies of gun banners like Booker?

The absolute density and lack of reasoning skills among some people is jaw-dropping.

First, to be clear and speaking for myself, my desire is to see the NRA relegated to it admirable role in firearms training and safety with its insidious damaging NRA-ILA/Lobbying position as 'America's Staunch Defender of The 2A' eradicated and the earth it rested upon burned then salted.

This is specifically so that this Quisling 'gun privileges' enemy has zero influence on the front of unalienable fundamental and essential rights, particularly the rkba. Let the 'no-compromise' orgs, activists and people emerge ascendant and take up the mantle and fight the real fight.

Second, the intellectual density of some manifests most clearly in their inability to see that both the democrat and republican wing of the globalist-collectivist party want the NRA to remain as the false but purported 'voice' of America's gun owners, thus there is a willing partner with govt (NRA) who frames a quisling and false position of everyone largely being in agreement with the 'incremental loss of individual liberty and an advance of the regulatory and prohibition state'.

These domestic enemies likely chortle and guffaw at the overall stupidity of the people and at how easy it has been and continues to be to fool the NRA Fuddites and partner with the willing NRA to control and frame the narrative.

Fact is that the NRA does NOT speak for America's gun owners. The NRA speaks for most of its 4-5 million members and for the govt's efforts to slow sell gun control to the populace. There are tens of millions of unaffiliated gun owners and rights activists as well as millions of people affiliated with multiple other national, state and local gun rights groups and organizations.

The NRA in no way speaks for these other millions of people and the fact that both dems and repubs along with the NRA and its Fuddite members either believe this steaming pile of fecal matter, or pretend that they do, is a testament to a number of disturbing conclusions and set of facts that I won't expand upon here and now.

You won't get it Fox, because your history indicates an utter and committed quasi-religious zealotry and blindly faithful support for the NRA and what it has done and continues to do. In addition, you are of such an apparent mental density that the above information is alien in comprehension to you.

Painting a center-of the road legislated access organization as the enemy is and attempt to remove the true conversation, i.e. individual liberty, from consideration.

A fairly standard tactic used for decades. If the NRA/ILA approach of government approved gun ownership is presented as illogical far-right thinking, half of the individual liberty battle is already won.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

Cory Booker and trfox are both easily duped. Was that the point of this thread?

Some will fall in love with life

One of the responses in the article..... The NRA has absolutely nothing to do with the gun violence that occurs in this country. The democrat party uses the NRA as a boogie man.
