Had a BF Goodrich rugged trail truck tire separate 10 ply, come apart Sat going down a side road. Changed it out with the spare. Decided if it happened once it might happen again. Tires were originals on the Truck with 28500 miles. So going to the tire store another came apart..only going about 40 mph. no damage to truck .AAA came in 15 mins and the truck got hauled to the tire store. They were dated June 2013 had no marks or anything visible until they came apart.

De-lamination on two tires, just days apart. That strikes me as odd, I'd think it more likely an event occurred that you thought nothing of. As long as you're safe, I guess it really doesn't matter. ;)

No event. Both times happened within 5 mile of the house.

How often did you check the tire pressure on them? Low tire pressure will make them come apart.

I run 78 # in all of the load range e tires on the truck or trailer. Truck has TPMS sensors for low pressure.

I had the very same problem with some Cooper tires. I got a pro-rated credit on some new ones. Pain in the rump. Never again, but I realize it could happen with any tire.

I've never considered surviving the few dangerous tire\wheel conditions I have experienced due to luck.

Pretty sure it was having a "Guardian Angel" watching over me. 8-)
