1 and 2. I can't find the silly DVDs. Not that "ID2" was all that good to do a hard target search. I did find "Tank Girl". I looked in the military pile and movies with "Predator" like aliens but no dice. I really need to organize the collection. Just as well I need to go to bed early before they start popping off their fireworks before dark.

Yosh, I liked the first Independence Day movie, but like you, found the 2nd a complete waste of time. I have chosen a couple of movies for today, one I haven't seen in a very long time; "Patton" with George C. Scott. My other choice; The original version of "Red Dawn" with Patrick Swayze. The remake of that film, while not as bad as most, still doesn't hold a sparkler to the original IMO.

yep, know what u mean...still have the original vid of Blazing Saddles with the campfire farting scene....GREAT... little did i gather with the first PC version out with the horses neighing instead of REAL farts how political correctness would overwhelm common sense

Found the movies :D. Strange I had them with space movies like "The Martian", "Gravity" and "Interstellar". Since the fireworks woke me up and I got few hours until I have to go in. It's show time.

Brookwood - "Red Dawn" (the original) is still great. Don't know why they re-made them other than placing "flava" to be more PC and double dip since hollywwod can't seem to come up with new ideas. Also down grading it to PG-13 was just silly. I think they made it to be PG-13? They might've just trimmed the original to PG-13 and re-released it.

While putting away the "Independence Day" movies with the military movies I came across "Red Dawn". I didn't know the original one was also PG-13. PG-13 back then was way different.

Yosh, R ratings back in the late 60's and early to mid 70's meant the movie showed a few tits. I can't remember seeing any tits in Red Dawn. The violent parts of movies upped the anty on what would be considered to be labeled R after about the mid 70's.

I remember seeing a movie called "Carnal Knowledge" back when it came out. It was the very first R rated one that I ever saw. It starred Art Garfunkel the music guy from Simon & Garfunkel, and Ann Margaret. Ann showed me her boobs and I have had a crush on her ever since!
