Who else here hopes the women's soccer team gets their butts kicked? If all they want to do is complain about POTUS and the country then they can just go play for someone else......

Whether or not one agrees with them, if you?re going to represent the US, then represent the US respectfully.

She / they have every right to dislike Trump. But the game is no place for a political statement.

I lettered in soccer at two different colleges. And I played in the Atlanta Amateur League for 12 more years.
    I love soccer.
To represent your country in world wide competition, and to grandstand and to disparage your country and refuse to put hand over your heart is low class. I hope that Trump hating nutcake doesn't play in the final.

That's exactly what my wife and I were talking about yesterday. I'm hoping they get their * kicked. Be even better if they did actually get their * kicked after losing the game.

I do not understand the Trump hatred by gays and black leaders. While he doesn?t kowtow to them, it seems his only crime is treating all folks equally. One would think that would be what they want.

The first time she took a knee while representing her country, she should have been benched until she pledged to act like an adult and an athlete. As with many of these activists, however it is not about country, nor the team. It is all about her.

Disgusting that the rest of the team doesn?t put the little princess in her place.

How can we trust anyone who is so unpatriotic to represent our country.

Certainly, we would never allow them to serve in the military.
I can't believe they misspelled "Pork and Beans!"

US Soccer adopted a rule that players must stand for the anthem. So she'll be doing that, while thinking F-you to the country who allows her freedom to openly (and forcefully) display her homosexuality.
The other girls will be standing (apparently) with hands over hearts.
So I hope the girls win and I hope Rapinoe, as they say, never works in this town again. She's an anti American pos.
    IMHO.

I am in NO way trying to defend her, but I blame the media, if they didn't stick a mic in front of her and report every stupid thing she says to the nation/world she would be nothing but a spoiled soccer player, had they ignored her statements from the begining we wouldn't be having this conversation now.........

I may not like her attitude and her lack of class but I still root for the USA even when a couple are idiots

Just because she disrespects her flag and country does not mean I have to, IMO

Go Merkun girls and that traitor too :!: :!:

If she scores the winning goal I hope Trump says he is proud of her.
I can already hear her teeth gnashing if he does

So you think not cheering for people that have no respect for the US is being dis-respectable? In that case I'll continue to be "dis-respectable". I'd revoke their passports if I were Trump.

I did not say that and your twisting it only shows you admit to having no valid argument

So, anyone who does not put their hand over their heart when the anthem is played should lose their passport.
That is like saying anyone who disagrees with you deserves to be punished.
    That is what tyrants believe

I said her lack of respect was no reason for me to want my nation to be defeated.
If a guy at Normandy had said and did what she did would you hope the invasion failed? Sure sounds like it

In a free society people have a right to be classless and anyone acting in a manner that shows their true nature is a good thing. We know who the jerks are when they disrespect the flag.
I can root for the USA and consider her a traitor at the same time. I don't have to wish harm to all the other women and our nation because person is betraying (IMO) her country and flag

Now that Rapino woman is crying that the payout for winning is not as high as the men's payout. Simple supply and demand... not as many people watch women's sports. That is evident by the multitude of empty stadium seats throughout the year.

Gracious. So even when they win they whine? Great sportsmanship. Oh wait I just offended them by using "man" in a word. I guess this is the result of "participation" trophies over the years.

As for improving viewership of womin (can't use "man/men" to describe older girls) soccer I say topless VS shirtless.

She can't talk without using the F word. That's a real inspiration to young women soccer players, isn't it?

The other women/teammates coaches are all complicit in the crime. They are supposed to be representing USA, get it? If not, step aside and let those who do appreciate the PRIVILEGE or representing.

Not even close comparison to Normandy, now YOU are disrespecting WWII Veterans?

I guarantee any GI that pissed on or disrespected the flag in the trenches would have had a severe beat down before his/her court martial.

If they don't like representing the USA they need removal from the team or the whole team needs gone.

Personally, I think a great many of the players in sports are just attention whores and shouldn't get a moments more time than a possible interview about the game(s) itself. If I was an editor, I'd record it and show only answers to questions asked, not commentary.

I tend to not be too vocal about a lot of things like this. I just talk with my dollar. I haven't watched the NFL either since Kapersky or WTF his name is became their media darling. It's a free country. They can say what they want. I can choose not to listen to it. I will say however that freedom of speech does not, nor should not extend to a persons job. This is these people's job. My wife isn't catholic, but works at a Catholic hospital. If she was spouting anti-Catholic drivel how long would she stay employed? I think some of these shenanigans stem from us Americans desire to win at all costs instead of what should be done.
