I have always used de-hydrated water!

From reading a bunch of google results no mention of filtered water. I most likely doesn?t matter as long as the water is clean ( not full of particles).

The only time one thins water based paint is when spraying it and even then we are talking a cup in a 5 gallon batch.

I am painting my house right now with Behr Premium Plus Ultra and the only water I am using is to clean my utensils

Those cheap Wagner sprayers need to have the paint thinned a lot.
I have a Titan professional sprayer and they don't need thinned at all.

Wulfmann, that is very good paint. If you have the surface squared away, you won't be dissappointed. And also, there is a special thinner sold for latex. And whoever said it, yes you don't use very much at all. Myself, I just use water, tapwater. But I only thin when I'm cutting edges or when the paint I'm dipping from has dried to where it's like putty.

I thought you were going to spray the paint.
    Here is what you need.
You can get it at Walmart or something similar at Sherwin-Williams.

    Repaint and thin no more.

Seriously, don't thin water based paint you are putting on a home unless you're some cheap *.
