I'll take the heat over the rain we got for so long.

I was worried for a while back, when the rain stopped for 1 day, that all my mud would dry out!!!

our unusual summer rains here have generated a carpet of tiny toads who will grow up to be big toads eating tons of nasty insects ...and they LOVE gathering around a yard light at night ......GO TOADS !!!

    When checking local temperatures..........

The highest temperature on record here is 115 degrees F in 1936

The lowest temperature on record here is -45 degrees F in 1994

    In this state:

The highest temperature ever recorded is 120 degrees F in July 2006

The coldest temperature ever recorded is -58 degrees F in February 1936

All this talk of global warming and 'climate change' is a bunch of B.S.

It?s so hot, the corn in the field began to pop like popcorn. The ducks thought it was snow and flew south for the winter.

We too were having a lot of raining and flooding this year here in Oklahoma. It was nice that everything stayed so green for so long. However, my concern turned into reality. That it would go straight from cool and lots of rain, nearly daily, to very hot and humid. Heat index 110. I had a heat stroke last year and if I go out and work, there seems to be no rhyme or reason to when its effects return. I'll be working along, going slow and steady, then bam! Out of energy nearly instantly from one moment to the next and I get huge goose bumps all over. Ever seen goose bumps on the top of your feet? Looks weird! I've been severely chilled before. One time it took 4 hours in a hot tub to warm up (usually can't spend more than 15 minutes or so), but even then I didn't have goose bumps in places I do when I get hot now.

It's been hot, and fairly dry here in South Louisiana. Now we're about to get drenched by a hurricane, looking at 24 inches or more. Yay
