I voted for him twice, I allways figured he would go to DC and stir the pot like Trump has done, just wish he had done it back then, maybe we wouldn't be in the mess we are today......

I thought the same thing, I wanted to see him clean the swamp ;)

I only voted for him once, I thought in 96 he was too lame and I had found out he was a Gun Control advocate. I held my nose and voted for Dole.

He was a good guy and very active in the Spec Ops community. He helped pay for the Airborne and SOC museum in Fayettville.

I too voted for Ross back in 92. I even had one of his campaign signs in my yard that year.

Way back then having a non politician who was top tits in business really turned me on! My thinking which matched Perot's was that if the average American had to balance his own budget and books to get by, then why in Hell couldn't our government do the same.

RIP Mr. Perot, you were ahead of your time and your life story is one heck of a good read!

Only reason he ran was his hatred of George the First & he achieved his goal. I was for him in the beginning but then he went all weird. Dropping out because someone was going to mess with his daughter's wedding & then dropping back in again.
Don't understand the comment about "holding my nose" to vote for Dole. That was one of my easiest votes. I knew he didn't have a ghost of a chance but he was the FAR better man.

I have no problem seeing a millionaire/billionaire becoming a politician...........it's seeing politicians become millionaires/billionaires I have problems with. After Perot and Trump I hope there's others lined up to serve us...the common man and our country...not their self-interest. R.I.P Mr. Perot

l remember a story of him wanting a second car for his house in Bermuda. The law only allowed ONE car per house.. NO problem for Ross.. He simply bought a SECOND house ;)

He is from my home town, Texarkana, TX. He always helped with community projects, either through monetary donations or lending his name in support. We have a theater renamed for him that was originally built in the early 1900s. No, he didn't grow up poor, his father was a local "mover and shaker" in the cotton business.

I heard that today. Strange I thought he was already dead ways ago. Also I didn't realize he wasn't as old as I thought he was.
