It has been 7 months since I went out and dominated a match.
The move from TX to Fl had really set my shooting back- Tonight I shot where I expect myself to shoot.
4 of 5 stages I was on my game tonight at the local steel match and ran right with the pros.
Overall I finished 4th of 22 Open class shooters and I definitely won my squad.

The top dogs are generally shooting STI?s, Limcats, Atlas, Akai, or CZ Chzechmate?s in USPSA 9mm Major (i shoot 9mm minor) or 38 Super. C-More dominates open guns for Optics.
So I am a red headed step child running a 9mm minor glock, no comp with a trijicon optic.
I *might* move to 9mm major but would require a compensator & new holster (I currently run a Double Alpha Pro 2, which is IDPA legal). Honestly I love shooting steel but enjoy the challenges you get with USPSA moving and reloading- so I am content to run my own race although my equipment has me at a disadvantage for USPSA.my rig and set up is legal for any match anywhere USPSA/STEEL/3 gun or IDPA.
I think you'll find that once you're an RO/SO you're shooting will suffer a little bit. I know mine did. Being the RO/SO doesn't give you the time to focus as much on your own game 'cause you're too busy paying attention to everyone else's.
