HOLY COW !!!!

FOUND THIS WHILE I WAS DOING MY CHANNEL SURFING....

DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THEY RECORDED THIS BACK THEN FOR SHOWING IN THE FUTURE .....

https://www.lyricsondemand.com/tvthemes/brandedlyrics.html LISTEN TO THEME SONG HERE !!!!

[Full Version:]

All but one man died,
There at Bitter Creek,
And they say he ran away ...

Branded!

Marked with a coward's shame.
What do you do when you're branded,
Will you fight for your name?

He was innocent,
Not a charge was true,
But the world will never know ...

Branded!

Scorned as the one who ran.
What do you do when you're branded,
And you know you're a man?

And wherever you go
for the rest of your life
You must prove ...
You're a man!

[Third and Fourth Verses:]

Stripped of all his rank,
Stripped of all his pride,
Still he held his head up high!

Branded!

Friends are a thing unknown!
What do you do when you're branded?
Can you go on alone?

Of his Gen'ral Reed,
And the men who died,
He can never speak the truth!

Branded!

That's not the way to die!
What do you do when you're branded?
Can you live with a lie?

Branded!

I watched "Branded" back in the day. It was ok but seeing Chuck Conners aka "The Rifleman" getting his * kicked around all the time got kind of old, even for this young kid back in the 60's.

At least "F Troop" was made to be a comedy and seeing all those soldiers get their butts kicked was fun to watch! :D

I remember that show. Chuck Connors was "playing against type" and rather than the badass he played on Rifleman, now he was an object of scorn.

I still remember that theme song by heart. "What do you do when you're branded, and you know you're a man."

Chuck's career went into the tank after Rifleman, he had a minor role in a Doris Day comedy, hardly saw him in any more westerns after Rifleman.

Based on the theme to the 1960's western TV series, Branded, starring Chuck Connors.

Many of the lyrics are mine, some have been around as schoolyard drivel since the series came out.

So this one man tried to with all his might
    He was finally relieved but
Stranded, stranded on the toilet bowl
What do you do when you're stranded and you can't find the roll?

He was in a stall and he had to go
But then to his surprise was
Stranded, stranded on the toilet bowl
What do you do when you're stranded and you can't find the roll?

To prove you're a man you must wipe with your hand
While you stand in the can - STRANDED!
