yep gotta feeling there are gonna be a whole lot of missles launched at various targets all over the country at about the same time, here before long, I am just glad they have decided to pick on the UK also, so it isn't just us alone......

We should start a raffle to see who can guess closest to the number of missiles/bombs dropped on Iran in 24 hours.

I genuinely hope that the first to retaliate will be the Brits. That would take the onus off of Trump for "starting another war" and would open the door for us, Israel, and anyone else so inclined to push the launch button.
    I may be a bit crazy - but I didn't drive myself.

I agree Rocky, and it would really be nice to see some of the freeloading NATO countries speak up before Trump does as well.

I would be surprised to see the Brits do anything in retaliation other than get the US to do it for them.

Agree, and these ships are not owned by UK or US from what I understand. Expect a diplomatic solution.

    Or more santions.

While I am no fan of IRAN, I say let the Britts retaliate on this. It's there ships. Then we just notify Iran that any ship with their flag displaying any signs of aggression will be treated as pirates.

It's a criminal act of war to interfere in international navigation, isn't it? I think Iran wants The USA to attack them at all costs.

In this regard, United Nations Security Council has often affirmed that ?inter-national law, as reflected in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982 (The Convention), sets out the legal framework applicable to combating piracy and armed robbery at sea?.3 Regarding SUA Convention, Se-curity Council has frequently stated that ?1988 Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts Against the Safety of Maritime Navigation provides for parties to create criminal offences, establish jurisdiction, and accept delivery of persons responsible for or suspected of seizing or exercising control over a ship by force or threat thereof or any other form of intimidation?

Iran believes that if they can get Trump to attack them, it will cause him to lose the 2020 election. They are wanting him out of the way. Don

It would make more sense to somehow return Venezuela to democracy and get their oil production ramped up again. Then we should tell the Saudis, UAE, etc.., Iran is your problem if you want to sell oil, you fix the problem. Venezuela has as much or more oil than all of the middle east. If they were producing oil at their former levels before Chavez it sure would ease up the need for middle east oil. Put the damn Saudis in a sink or swim situation of maintaining their income or going back to pre WW2 lifestyles. Bob

Sounds like an English problem. Is Iran getting paid by the EU to mess with Brexit? US needs to let the rest of the world take a lead on this for a change.

    Treat them like Somali pirates.

Why waste the missiles? Unless they need to be tested or if they're going to go bad. Just don't allow their oil to be sold.

    Agree
I find it amazing the filth factories pumping out what they call news are blaming Trump for the Iranians actions.
Never in my days have I seen such political garbage passed out by these DEMOCRAT operatives calling themselves journalists.

The bottom line is no matter how positive any outcome, the maggots in the media and their DEMOCRAT sponsors will turn the
event into a negative and continue their hate Trump campaign.

I have this mental picture of a couple of A-10 Warthogs doing a flyby about 30 feet off the water to discourage the Iranian fast boats. A-10's can hit 500 MPH and Abu Dhabi is right on the Strait of Hormuz, they could be in play in minutes if not seconds. An A-10 would be just what the doctor ordered to turn a fast boat into kindling quick. On a close flyby, the jet blast would likely swamp the boat and the U.S. could say sorry about the oopsy.

If only one of the 26 was a Jewish Israel citizen, The Israelis would take care of the problem.
And they wouldn't give a rat's * what the UN would think.............

It seems to me that ever since WWII ended our country has always waited on getting the blessings and permission's from foreign world organizations before we attack the obvious blatant enemies! By the time these blessings are granted, the enemy has not only had time to commit even more atrocities, but time to dig into safe places.

Worthless waste of very expensive resources when the surprise attack is expected. We seem to just accomplish a "show" of force without any real damage done.

All of this IMO presents what it is that has become more important to our leaders than winning any conflicts....HOW WE LOOK ON THE WORLD STAGE! Seems that how foreign countries view our image is oh! so very important!

This thinking has actually blown up in our face, as most of the places we want to see us as world saviors hate our guts!

I remember studying when our leadership was a division of "Hawks & Doves" and the Hawks prevailed 9 times out of 10! In those days we were not trying to win beauty contests! Our causes to keep Americans and our interests safe in the world were prudent and direct. We took no crap from those who were a danger to us. Back then, the few countries which were indeed our allies actually had our backs. They did not wait for us to ask for their permission!
