    I think it's a very cool and such a delicate little thing! 2 1/2"?
Too bad the stock is broken....I'll be watching it!

Ward patent auto side safety, made in the early 1920's. They were made in Birmingham, but I don't know by who, as they show up with a couple of different names on the the barrels. They came with blued, color case, and nickle receivers. Most I've seen have the same break in the wrist too.

i like unusual, wish i had the $$ as the stock could be fixed almost un noticeable
i need to find time to work on a few of my own, have a couple of "side snap" single barrels need wood to finish

What would it cost to repair that stock? "About"
    Thanks,

like the next poster said, "about" $200
i originally started learning that kind of work from a local smith just so i could get cheap "junk" guns and be able to do them up for myself
    just kinda snowballed from there

If you can avoid shipping charges - ie if you can find someone local to you...

The cost of duplication I'd someone has the lathe - stock duplication / cloning equipment may be more affordable than professional repair...

The stock is actually much easier to duplicate than the forend.

    Just worth consideration IMHO.

the catch there Mike is, many would not want a NEW stock on an old gun
most who send for refurbish/repair want to retain the look and feel of an old gun, but without missing chunks of wood, breaks etc.

    Re: folding in half O/Us...

I recall back in the early 80s as a young teen buying all sorts of gun magazines esp. the G&A annual "who makes what" book-like issue.

At the time, Sile was making/importing utility grade O/Us, including a model that folded like the one the OP points to on the auction side.
