carpet question

We need to put down bedroom carpet. The wife thinks she's going to keep the dogs out all the time, I can't imagine that happening. I went shopping online and found carpet tiles. I'm wondering if carpet tiles might be relatively easy to replace if a section got ruined with dog urine.

Find a Mohawk or Karastan dealer in your area and look at their carpets that use Smart Strand Silk technology.
It is about as stain proof of a carpet as you'll find. It has a Lifetime Full Pet, All Pet warranty. Combine it with the Karastep pad (has a waterproofing layer on the top side) and you should have no issues.
The carpet tiles are great in a high traffic commercial application but are pretty thin and not all that cozy on the toesies.

cpt tiles are supposed to be installed with a pressure sensitive glue. if installed correctly you can pull up an old tile and put in a new one without new glue. the thing about cpt tiles is the lack of padding. its not soft and coushy. this is what I do. been doing this stuff for 31 yrs

Buy a lot of extra carpet tiles when you buy them because you'll most likely not get any to exactly match in the future.

And no matter what, they seem to peel up at the edges....

    Spot on!
Happens all the time. Especially after a few years. Spills, moisture, and dry air will bring out the worse. Seen this happen many times and looks like crap.
IMHO, carpet and pets is a bad combination, We got rid of all our carpet and went to laminate.

The previous owners had wall to wall carpet installed. Feels great and warmer on the tootsies.

We threw down an oval area rub in the high traffic area.

However, our 90 pounds of love (Dutch Shepard) is slowly wearing out portions.

With pets or living rurally, carpet isn?t the best idea.
