Ever win a gun?

I got a Remington 870 Express on a tip board in a bar. [Sackett's Tavern]

I won a Ruger 77 in .35 Whelen on another gun board (thanks to Alglore's generosity)

Yesterday I bought a 1 in 200 chance on a Glock 43 9mm from an American Legion Post. Not a fan of 9mm or Glock but I wanted to support the post.
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

I did win a little .25 auto of some sort from a punch board, had spent about $10 on punches .
There was a local farmer that had a steer turn up missing, offered up a centerfire rifle as a reward for information as to it's whereabouts. I did a little checking and found out where it was. Got a free .303 British that day.

I've won 2.......1 in the 70's, was at a service station (Remington 1100) punching holes in a punch board :D , the other was back in the 80's a (Winchester 94) for buying xx gallons of insecticide/herbicide from a nationally known company, have never figured that one out, it was shipped directly from Winchester (Olin) to my house on UPS, no paperwork or any forms filled out, what the ATF laws were then :?: :?:, I didn't care :)

Won a Winchester Model 1200 back about '74 at a small local fair in California. I use to dove hunt with it, but haven't fired it since '85.

Never from a contest or lottery with or without a "donation."

    Only by bidding and paying.

I won a Traditions flintlock plains rifle last year at my gun club. I gave it back to the club who then presented it to an older member who has work hard for many years at the club...he in turn, gave it to the local 4H who raffled it off.

    I bought tickets for the raffle...but I didn't win :D

Won several at different banquets. Already have more guns than I can count.
Always give the auctioneer the "you know what to do with them" look.
All proceeds go directly to the local organization putting on the event.
Won a sponsor gun Henry 22 lever gun last Saturday at the local HHK banquet. Brought 500.00 at auction for the event.

Smith & Wesson, Model 15. Back in the early 70's. It was raffled off, from a LEO's estate, to provide money for his family.

It' was back in callie. Nowadays, you would probably wind up behind bars there. If you dared to raffle off a gun. LEO or not.

Yes, I have won 2. The first one is a model 700 Remington in 270 Caliber. I won it at the Rogue Valley chapter of the Oregon Hunters Assn. banquet about 15 years ago. The other one is a CZ 20 gauge over and under that I won at a Ducks Unlimited Raffle about 2 years ago.
