On this date in 1999, a young (or at least younger) police officer named David Nunn signed on with Gun Broker. The circumstances of David joining GB are unknown to me, but perhaps he'll share them with us? As an Administrator, it has been my privilege to work alongside David in running the GB forums, and I hope he's around for another twenty years.

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
Your name reminds me of a joke. A friend of mine said he married a nun. He gets none in the morning, and none at night.
Looks like I had my 15th 10 days ago.

I realized I was rolling up on 20 years, but I didn't know the exact date.
How did I find Gunbroker? I didn't. Remember a member who once posted here, Txs? He is a good friend and colleague, and he found Gunbroker while surfing the net, and thought I might be interested.
I was using a now-defunct site known as Firearms Trading Post, and placing word ads in Gun List. Gunbroker changed all that. This is THE premier site for buying and selling firearms, accessories, and what not.
I started off with no pictures, and quickly learned that pictures are necessary. I did OK with word ads in print, but the Internet is a visual medium.
I too hope I am around for another 20 years. At least.
BTW, I am old, but nowhere near 93. I don't know how that got there.
Time flies. I remember your days with Gun List and you telling me about GB when it started. I actually posted on the forum when it first started under a different name a couple times and the no pic adds. Was living in NC at the time, but all the pawns shops around. never bought anything on GB.
Yup, my first feedback on the auction side is 10-1999.
A lot has happened over the last 20 years.
David found Dawnie, a bunch of critters, and retired.
Here we are on the new forum with ALL the history lost.
Members have come and gone, most good, some bad.
Not sure whether to congratulate David or offer my condolences.
Here is to the next 20.
