Ejector for SXS ?

Could be shotgun or rifle

    I'm guessing a cocking mechanism for a SxS or O/U, but can't recall seeing one like it.

    It appears to have a thumb release on the right side in the first picture

    Any thoughts on that?

    The worn angled bottom suggests it's a snap in fit. The two hooks look like cocking pieces, and maybe sears for two spring loaded hammers. That is my best guess, I've looked at a bunch of schematics trying to find something close to it, no luck. What I couldn't find, was a schematic for a Drilling or SxS rifle, and by the size shape, that might be an answer.

    It came from a gunsmiths shop and he was into Euro pieces. Drillings and SXS's
