reading the news. local movie theater caught on fire... only closed a few days... oh! they only charge a dollar. okay what are they playing. go to their website... among other things, midnight showings of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

people are still playing that?! in the year 2019?! at midnight of course; an indication that they are still throwing condiments at the screen and know all the lines too.

been a loooooooong time since I went. anybody go to those? or when's the last time you been to one.

watched it a couple times over the years 2nd time too see what I missed that attracted such a following sorta along the lines of Tommy ?
after watching it again many years ago I am still not a fan ,
I will add any show that can still draw crowds of people for this many years , dressing up acting out and reciting the lines just having fun cant be all bad :D

yup first time I went some chick talked me into it. didn't want to go because I thought it would be dumb. it was a blast. it's not the movie, its the crazy stuff they do there. I would go check it out again for a dollar but I'm not up that late.

It?s just a jump to the left...
Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

I got tricked into going to see it in the early 80's........all I can say is it's the stupidest damn thing I've ever watched on a screen

Saw it one time. Determined it was one of the stupidest movies ever made.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

The audience participation factor was what made it real...

    A crazzy * flick.

About ten years ago I was dating a witch (pagan variety not wiccan). The Cincinnati Witches Ball had a Rocky Horror Picture Show theme that year. She was shocked that I had never seen the movie and insisted that I watch it.
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

If you watch it at home, yeah, it's really stupid.
If you see it at a theater with an audience that is really into it, it's a blast.
The first time I saw it, there was a double wedding at the bottom of the theater.
The newlyweds rode up the aisles on bikes(that we provided), then the movie played, with a bunch of people acting it out
at the bottom, in costume. It was an absolute riot. The mess afterward was unbelievable. Rice and newspaper everywhere.

Many many times as a teen.

Once every 10 years or so since.

Took my oldest daughter to it last year, local community theater had a Halloween showing and provided gift bags with all needed accessories.

Coincidentally, Oberlin Apollo is having a midnight showing next Friday and a close friend who has been to them in the past has extended an invitation. I will pass (not my style) but can understand the following. While I'm sure it's one of those things that would be worth the price of admission just for the experience, I have no interest. If I want to see weird people acting the fool, all I have to do is drive around Cleveland.
