He has killed a lot of folks over the years but I think Lucas McCain has killed more people than polio ;)

    Oh.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Those shoulder wounds ain?t no joke Sam. Lol, ask me how I know. One of my big disappointments in life was the day I found out old John Wayne had been BS?ing all those years fixing a dinged up shoulder with just a damned bandanna.

"Those shoulder wounds ain?t no joke Sam. "

    NO KIDDING
All the old western characters got shot in the shoulder and were back in business the next day. Oddly enough having shoulder surgery under absolutely clinical conditions, using state of art technology, and all sorts of X-ray/MRI/catscan information ends up with weeks/months of recovery and PT.
Also odd is that there's some large vessels and arteries near where most of those old tough guys got hit but they never bleed to death from a "little shoulder wound".

You're supposed to take a hot stick from the camp fire and cauterize the wound.

Yep, lots of things with big names in yer damn shoulder. Fortunately there are some good Trauma Docs and Ortho guys to cork things up and rebuild us now days. (No hot stick available that day. Had to opt for a battle dressing. I?m still pissed at John Wayne though!!)

Duke and the other old cowboys were too tough to bleed, they did not have any blood in em, solid gristle.
They didn't need any fancy doctoring, just heat up a branding iron and cauterize the wound, be 'fightin" again in the morning.
They didn't need water, just whiskey
They could knock an indian off a cliff with a SAA Colt without aiming at 600 yards
They could shot a six shooter 8 or 15 times and were so quick at reloading that you couldn't see'm do it.
Their Hats never blew off, their horses all had cool names, and they always got the girl.

When Duke roamed the earth, you knew things would be alright in the end.

We need the old cowboys. RIP
