Red Flag law strikes again Massachusetts

A waitress overheard an 84 year old veteran and retired police officer who was working as a school crossing guard comment that the school security officer was lax in his duties by leaving his post routinely to take breaks, someone could "shoot up the school" while he's gone.

Based on that comment the waitress filed a police report and the man was fired from his job and his firearms confiscated.

He got the job back fairly quickly and the firearms were turned over to a relative but his right to possess guns is still suspended.

I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

I keep buying guns because someday we will need them.

Imagine this: there are folks still waiting for the gun confiscations to start believing they have not.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

    absolutely ridiculous, nonsensical and backwards.

"any excuse will work for a tyrant" and that's what they have going on there.

This is what happens when you live in a state that demands you have a license from them to own firearms.

That sounds like something from either Nazi Germany or Communist Russia.

This all started in the 30's by the commies in this country and peaked with the Dept of "Homeland" Security. Who says Homeland except a commie.

IMO many people are generally a little nuts. No common sense whatsoever.

Lady across the street reported a man with a gun to the Police. It was me, I head out most mornings before sunrise to check out my hunting lease. I had been doing it most mornings for a decade. She was up taking a pee and saw me walking to my truck with my rifle.

So many ways for these red flag laws to go wrong.

Some months later there was a troop of young adults breaking into cars on our block. Hers got broken into and mine didn't (thank the dogs). The next day she confronted me, all indignant, saying I should have protected her car because I have a gun. I need a slap forehead emoji here. I told her after she called the Cops on me for no good reason I wouldn't pee on her leg if it was on fire.:)
