My wife and I enjoy the local theater group and this has ended up with us starting to also do the local ballet group. The Snow Queen was the performance and they did an excellent job. Usually the ballet performances are OK but nothing real special. Today the dancing was outstanding!!

With my Old Fart discount we got to go out for about $35. Excellent value for what we saw!

Usually we hit the local little theater plays and musicals. I'm amazed at the quality performances these locals can put on. My wife and our daughter both say that except for the quality of the set, the acting/singing and musical accompaniment are about as good as Broadway performances except you don't have to go to New York and the tickets are about 1/4 the cost.

Cheap way to have an enjoyable Fri./Sat. evening or Sunday afternoon!! Plus it keeps the wife happy!!!

I recently got dragged kicking and screaming to see Yo Yo Ma play his cello.

In two weeks I will haul herself to see Marty Stewart :D

I don't have to be dragged because I love theater performances, musicals and live music in all its forms. I will admit that ballet is starting to grow on me but a lot of that was the quality of the dancing yesterday, much better than the past performances we have been to.

Both of my daughters were ballet dancers. One got a scholarship to Dennison U. in Ohio!

Here we get simul-cast performances of Opera and ballet at a local theater during the season (winter months). Better half hits the Opera, we both see the ballet. Includes the Bolshoi and other Russian ballet companies. I once (back in the 70s) saw Baryshnikov dance the Nutcracker at the Kennedy Center in DC. That was a real highpoint.
