Just purchased some of their ammo from a fella I purchased a rifle off of another website, and was wondering if anyone here has either used, or has an opinion of their ammo. TIA.

Bought some about 25 years ago loaded with original Nosler ballistic tips in 30-06. Laser like accurate and DRT!

I'm always on the lookout for interesting lesser-brand ammo. give them my business if they can earn it. so when I heard about them I had to check them out.

didn't look like anything special. average power. one JHP is loaded with Speer GD (good) the other JHP looks exactly like the bullet loaded in Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics, which should be avoided like the plague for anything serious. it's an old (and now inexpensive) style of JHP bullet that acts halfway like an FMJ and sheds its jacket 100% of the time.

don't know the quality of the brass, accuracy, or how clean shooting. those things matter to a lot of people, and don't matter to a lot of other people.

prices aren't bad. quality is probably ok or better, for range fodder, if you want to buy in bulk and support your locals.

Georgia Arms - 404-459-5117???? If so I picked up 200 rounds of 38 special wad-cutter ammunition at a gun show in Valdosta, Georgia. I was going to use it in a pistol instructor certification course in my S&W model 52. After the first 5 rounds, I was glad that I had my S&W model 28 to do the remainder of the qualification with. It is the dirtiest - most inconsistent - 38 special wad-cutter ammunition I have ever purchased. The Israeli Military Industries - 41AE - that I used in a conversion unit for a Browning High Power was dirty - not that dirty - and it was consistent.

If the company you are referring to is a different one - may be good & well - but I will never buy anymore of that company's ammunition at a Valdosta gun show again.

oh yeah. they sell new and remanufactured ammo. some say "new"... others don't say, which I would assume is the remanufactured stuff.

in light of that, the prices aren't good. I'd look elsewhere.

The web site shows the phone number as 770-459-5117 - on the label I have is 404-459-5117 and the two area codes are next to each other. Their show schedule doesn't show Valdosta for the remainder of the year. Hopefully the 38 special wad-cutter ammunition I have was the exception to the rule.

I have bought a lot of their ammo at local gun shows where they sell it in a very large area. Never..Never had any issues with any of it.

I think I got few boxes of theirs in .45-70 a decade ago? And I think they stated safe for trap doors? I really should make time and pop them off.

Same here. They come to the gun shows near here. They don?t gouge on the hard to find stuff and have decent prices on reloading components.
They sold me some 45-70 loaded especially for older Springfield Trapdoors. They are traveling men.

I got some and it shot fine. It was 357 SIG(I don't reload for it) and I think it was 125gr FMJ advertised vel was 1300fps so it was warmish.

I had no problems with it and it shot to POA.

Thanks for the info guys. As I mentioned before, I bought a rifle off of another site, and the seller contacted me asking if I wanted to buy the ammo that he had for the gun. I figured 1000 rounds of 230 gr 45 Colt shipped for $150 was a pretty good deal. GA's price is about $520 for the same thing plus shipping.

Yep, stop in their store every time I am in the area.

It is good quality ammo, they provide training ammo for many law enforcement departments

I have purchased and fired 1000's of rounds of GA arms ammo over the past 30 years. Never had any issues with it. Recently I have transitioned to freedom munitions from GA Arms as they seem to be a little less expensive and package their ammo in 50 round boxes instead of plastic bags as GA Arms does. I do like the GA Arms ammo sold in bulk as they sell it in metal ammo cans.
