Not mine but I would love to shoot it a few times.

That does look like a fine weapon. My concern when I see a "Competition gun" is how many rounds have gone down that tube?? At that price it would be worth a chance. We sure leave a lot of toys when we "shuffle off this mortal coil" don't we?? I have had three calls this week about guns left behind and could I sell them?? One is supposed to be over a hundred many of which are "new in the box".

Ricci, I bought a Franchi Silver King from Ron Peterson. He had a customer who bought new guns and they were stacked untouched in their boxes when he moved on. Ron got the job of re-selling the pre-owned nib guns, and I benefited with a beauty of a shot gun. I would say go for it.

I agree Ricci. But with a 31" barrel if the throat is a little scorched pull the tube and cut a 1/2" off of it, re-chamber and re-crown it and its probably good as new. Guy with guns like that take care of them they shoot slow, keep the barrel cool and clean it when done. I would imagine that barrel has over 2K down the tube.

Ken, I figure you would be looking at that 1100 with the Hastings Rifled barrel. That would be a nice set up for close woods or where you have to use a shotgun to hunt. Good luck on the 20 ;)

I completely agree, that is a very sweet rifle, no question about it.

It also is a rifle I would love to hold, caress and shoot a box or two thru it.

But than what?? Another safe queen I would never ever pull out to shoot.

But I really did like looking at it and reading the description of it!!

I hope who ever gets that sweet 70 has a real use for it and shoots it a whole lot!!!

I've got that on my watch list, just because.
