Today's Airshow

My office is less than a mile from the airport and from my window I can observe aircraft as they turn and do their touch & goes. Today I have had Harriers,I assume from Cherry Point MAS, and now I have a big Navy twin engine which I think is a P8 anti sub plane. Yesterday an Air Force C130 was here for a long while. I see Air Force One a lot and a while back a gigantic C5 Galaxy was coming over very low. I went outside and it was thrilling to have that monster flying so slow and so close. I have seen only one F15 but I guess they stay closer to Goldsboro and Seymore Johnson AFB. I used to see a lot of them when I would ride my motorcycle to Goldsboro to eat at Wilber's Bar B Q. Life is GOOD.

Ricci , I live under one of the take off/ landing flight paths at Seymour Johnson . I am about three miles from the base . We drive out to the runway sometimes to watch the f15?s take off on night missions . Awesome sight to see on on full afterburner going almost straight up into the night sky . Going to have to figure out how to post a video .

I few into Lambert field in St. Louis once on the way east, and parked on a taxi way north of the runways was, I guess a 747 with a space shuttle riding piggy back. That was a real thrill. I see Harriers almost daily out of Kirkland and those planes that dump slurry on forest fires pretty frequently. That's all I got.

Wilber?s is shutdown due to nonpayment of property and sales taxes . When the highway 70 bypass opened a while back it took s huge toll on traffic headed to the beach in the summertime. The beach traffic was a huge part of the business. Supposedly a group of investors have bought the restaurant with plans to reopen . They were awaiting approval from the courts and tax departments., but that deadline is two months past due. No idea if they will ever reopen.

I thought you super HALO'ed from the Space Shuttle, landed in the Osprey, donned diving gear and then HALO/dived from the Osprey into the Bermuda Triangle.:mrgreen:
