Anybody had experience with night vision?

Saw some write ups of the ATN Thor LT and the Thor 4 thermal NV. Prices seem to be getting more reasonable and I'm wondering if it's a good time to buy NV and what's a good buy. Not looking for anything real complicated just something to identify what I'm looking at out to 100 yards or so with a decent field of view and eye relief and, above all, trouble free. Anybody had any experience with these or other devices?

I went with the sight mark wraith it is a little less complicated then the ATN products the sight mark photon series is pretty good also. As far as simple goes look at the night owl night shot. The thermal products I haven't gotten into yet for the amount of night hunting I do I can't justify the price for my use. Another thing to watch is the recoil rating

I have a PVS-3 Starlight, and after playing with a friends Thor Compact Thermal, pun intended, the difference is night and day! The Thor can seem complex with all the features, until you see how they work. You zero it on one gun, program that, repeat on another gun, and swap it back and forth with zero every time. Built in range finder, and video camera that can be set to continuous On, or set to come on with recoil and record your shot hitting. Takes AAA batteries, and has a auxiliary battery pack that'll last about 48 hours on.
The detail is what impressed me the most. Sitting in my darken living room, I could see the veins in the cats ear from 10ft. I have one on my bucket list now.

I went with the ATN X-sight 4K PRO 5-20X. More extras than I will ever use. VIVID Imaging, record HD video, Ballistic calculator, Dual steam video, recoil activated video, smart range finder, e-compass, Dual core processor,one-shot zero, ultra low power consumption, profile manager.

    Price - $799

Easy to use and I like the ability to change to another rifle without changing zero. Works perfect day or night.

I have an ATN Thor 640 4x thermal. Unbelievable! Nothing can hide out to 400yds. Can see squirrel footprints on trees for several minutes after they've passed through. I can positively identify a target out to 300yds and see * features on a person out to 150 regardless of weather conditions. Amazing technology.

    That is impressive.

It is! Unfortunately it came with a not so impressive price tag. :?
