Will a Border Collie nail a kid?? Of course!! Any dog will bite, simple fact of life. But there are many breeds whose jaws are nowhere near as strong as a pit bull so their bites do nowhere near as much damage.

Border Collies have been bred to nip to get the sheep moving, nip because you don't want your sheep torn up. I have had my BC's nip my ex-wife (GOOD DOG!! GOOD DOG!!) and one daughter. The daughter had a mark, the EX had a bruise. The daughter was my mistake, she was getting towards the road and I motioned to Woolie to bring her back. Daughter ignored her buddy thinking Woolie was playing but hey, Dad said back to the house so Woolie nipped her to get her moving. I should have known better. The ex was yelling at me. Woolie did not like her yelling at her Daddy/master so nip. GOOD DOG!! GOOD DOG!!:lol::lol:
