if you want to get some exotic wood to make pistol grips, this shop in town has piles of stuff you never heard of.

I went there once and they had dozens of types of wood, much more than what's on that link. like African Leopard wood or whatever. usually they sell it to people that make guitars so they have a lot of small pieces laying around, don't know what is the smallest they would sell though.

they got the really freaky stuff.

Interesting Buschmaster. While I did not see anything really freaky, some nice possibilities there. I will be near St. Louis after the Tulsa show so I have the addy noted for my GPS, may get by to look for some grip wood for a friend who makes grips for a living.

it's just north of downtown (not too far north where the natives are) right on the east side of I-70. like you can see the store as you drive past, IF you know what to look for. nondescript building, easy to miss. industrial zone. decent biker bar almost next door to cool your heels while you're there.

wish I would have brought a camera last time I went there. mebbe 15 years ago. I'd do that now but waaayy too much other stuff to do.
