if the Terminator landed in 2020 instead...

in the year 1984, somewhere in Los Angeles, a Cyberdyne Systems T-800 popped out of a ball of plasma and landed on the ground.
its mission was to kill Sarah Connor.
it didn't have any weapons.
what if the Terminator had landed in the year 2020?
what guns would it pick up from a pawn shop (cough) instead of the ones it chose in 1984?
let's start with the pistol.
it chose an AMT Harballer Longslide in .45ACP with a laser.
a 1984 laser.
I think the obvious choice would have been a Glock 40 in Ten Millimeter, with a holographic red dot.
(10mm was brand new in 1984, holographic red dots were unheard of, and the depiction of such a futuristic progression of the plastic Glock pistols from Austria would have fit the sci-fi plot perfectly, totally wow'ed the movie crowd, and it's a ho-hum reality for us today)
looks sufficiently terminator-like.
but that laser!
we have better options in the year 2020. we can do that. light, laser, whatever.
next, what about the Uzi. great choice in 1984 but woefully obsolete in 2020.
it would choose a CZ Scorpion.
portability could have added a twist to the plot.
next up is the AR18 and the SPAS-12
obviously a SCAR-17 in .308 but...
naah, it sees a CZ-805 on the rack with all the goodies.
so what about the shotgun
what would it choose? a Pancor Jackhammer?
Armscor VR60?
Fostech Origin 12?
naah! it wants a UTAS UTS-15
jam-o-matic but one helluva movie prop, seemingly designed for the Terminator itself
what else is there

you know he's gotta whip that out at some point
Or the Terminator could rip off a 3 gun competitor. Glock - check, Evil black rifle - check, Extended mag 12 gauge - check. Then get him a Barrett 50 to take care of the big stuff and he is all set. Bob
her kid at some point in time . but that would have been a dull action no blood and bullets + no box office sales that commands all the money in theaters .
5 gallons of gas and a match would have taken her out
its all about wowing the masses with firepower blood and guts , killing all you can mostly with a gun .. really not much different than today's top movies .... then get of screen and protest any one owning a firearm
I know . . . . sounds pretty far fetched - doesn't it?
Well, it was a lucky night at the disco, twice that early morning and once more before going home to get ready for work ... 1984 I was 27
? otherwise, you'll find an excuse.
He would have to make a stop in Nevada
I think the only thing the Terminator would be packing would be Benelli M4 with magazine extension with selections of "OO" and slug/sabot. Everything else on the California shelves are meant to slow him down. Maybe that's why California did this. To keep us safe from the Terminator .
Now being from the future. Dude should be able to cobble together something like "Cable" did in "Deadpool 2". Come to think of it the Terminator should be able to hit up the universities to build some laser guns. Find Leonard ("Big Bang Theory") in Pasadena and go to his lab then go find Sarah.
